Grace Beverley in hot water

Grace Beverley founder of Tala

Influencer turned business owner, Grace Beverley, has been told off by the ASA this week

The UK influencer founded companies Tala, Shreddy and The Productivity Method and has found herself in hot water while promoting these companies.

The ASA have said Grace didn't make it clear enough that when she was cross-posting from her own businesses, it counted as an ad.

Grace responded to the criticism: "“I am respectful of the ASA’s work and acknowledge their recent decision regarding my social media posts discussing Tala, a business I founded.

“I want to continue encouraging conversation, clarity and transparency on how business owners across industries can naturally talk about their own work online, in a way that distinctly differentiates from sponsored content.”

Content idea for the week

Make a Reel about your business showing ‘then' and ‘now’.

Using photos and video snippets from when you first started your business, say why you started it, your motivations and life situation.

Then show your ‘now’ - how your business is doing now, how you are doing and how your life has changed.

I often say that ‘people follow people', so showing the person behind the business is a great way to give your following an insight into you.
